In celebration of NSW Youth Week, we’re inviting kids aged 10+ years to Bella Vista Pocket Park to paint their own skateboard design with Sydney artists Joel Cameron and Nick Goodger.

WORKSHOP SCHEDULE:

10 am - 10:20 am: Registration

10:20 am - 12:30 pm: Design your own deck class (2hrs)

*Times may vary on the day

Cost: $10 (includes all equipment and a skateboard deck to take home)

WAIVER FORM - Participants must complete our online waiver form here before they can skate. Please try to have this done before you get to the skatepark. THE WAIVER FORM IS NOT A TICKET.

Spots are limited and bookings are essential via Eventbrite.

* This is an outdoor event. Postponement and cancellation is subject to weather conditions and can happen anywhere from 48 hours to 2 hours before a workshop. We cannot skate in the rain or on wet grounds.

ABOUT THE CLASS

This hands-on class will provide an insight into the creative process, starting with a quick brainstorming and drawing session to get the ideas flowing, before each unique design is transferred onto a blank skateboard deck – which every participant gets to take home!

The focus of the class will be to have fun while exploring the use of colour and building creative confidence and independence, giving kids the chance to express themselves.

Professional artists Joel and Nick will explain techniques for how to best use paint pens, so each kid gets the most out of their design.

This class is for anyone interested in art and skateboarding!
