ABOUT THIS EVENT
Come along to Lake Cathie Skatepark for a FREE Learn to Skate Workshops!
"Learn to Skate: A beginner class & mentoring skate session that’s all about building skills, confidence, and community.
Skaters of all levels can ride, show off their skills, and connect with the local skate community. We’ll also have a chat about what makes a great skatepark – how we can all look after it, keep it clean, and make it a space everyone can enjoy.
We've also got free Tees and stickers for the first 25 skaters to register. “Keep It Clean” - Clean Parks & Clean Tricks."
All equipment supplied.
Workshops are for ages 12-24 years.
All workshops include Waste Management Chat – Learn about keeping skateparks and the community clean while reducing waste.

Beginner Class Registration
Register for the beginner class, open to skaters with little to no experience on a board or at a skatepark.
10:15 am - 11:15 am
Beginner Class (1 hour)
A class designed for newcomers and beginners to learn foundational skateboarding skills.
11:15 am - 11:20 am
Skate Demo
Enjoy a short demo showcasing skateboarding skills and techniques.
11:20 am - 11:30 am
Community Interaction
An opportunity to engage with the community and chat with mentors and fellow skaters.
11:30 am - 11:45 am
Intermediate Mentoring Session Registration
Register for the mentoring session tailored for intermediate skaters looking to level up their skills.
11:45 am - 12:45 pm
Mentoring Session for Intermediate Skaters (1 hour)
For skaters with foundational skills ready to start learning tricks and advancing.
12:45 pm - 1:00 pm

IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ
WAIVER FORM - Participants must complete our online waiver form here before they can skate. Please try to have this done before you get to the skatepark.
THE WAIVER FORM IS NOT A TICKET.
Spots are limited, and bookings are essential via our Eventbrite page.
* This is an outdoor event. Postponement and cancellation is subject to weather conditions and can happen anywhere from 48 hours to 2 hours before a workshop. We cannot skate in the rain or on wet grounds.
Equipment: Professional grade Skateboard, helmet, and safety pads (optional) are provided for all classes. You are also welcome to bring your own equipment.
