Free Skate Mentoring Classes(Open & Female-focused) Skate JAM & Team SIGNING!

Port Kembla, let’s GO!

Join Totem Skateboarding and some of Australia’s top skateboarders at Port Kembla Skatepark for a FREE Youth Week 2026 SKATE FEST!

This event is proudly funded by the BighART, Skate of Mind project and marks the launch of a year of FREE community-building skate events in the Port Kembla area.

This special event celebrates youth, creativity and skate culture with an afternoon of mentoring sessions, skate demos and an open skate JAM at the park.

We’re kicking things off with a Female Focused Mentoring Session, creating a supportive space for female skaters to build confidence, progress their skills and skate alongside inspiring riders from the Totem team. Everyone is welcome to come down and support the session and be part of growing female skateboarding in the community.

Alongside the skating, there will be a Digital & Sound Sampling and Beat Making Workshop led by Joel Cameron Studios, giving young creatives the chance to experiment with music production and tap into another side of DIY culture.

Throughout the day, participants will learn from experienced mentors, watch live skate demos and take part in the Skate JAM, where riders can challenge themselves on obstacles around the park and show what they’ve learned.

To wrap up the event, stick around for the Team Signing and Community Hangout. Meet the riders, grab posters and stickers, get autographs, take photos and chat with the team about skateboarding, progression and life on a board.

Totem Skateboarding is a family-run Australian organisation delivering FREE skateboarding programs across the country, working with councils and community organisations to make skateboarding accessible to everyone.

Come down, have a skate, support Youth Week and hang out with the crew!🛹🔥
