Free Skate classes for beginners & intermediate skaters + JAM

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Come along to the Leumeah Skatepark for FREE Community Skate Workshops & JAM!

Learn to Skate Beginner class & Mentoring Skate Session followed by a Skate & Scooter JAM with loads of prizes up for grabs!

All equipment supplied. Workshops are for ages 6 years and up.

UPDATED SCHEDULE FOR TODAYS WORKSHOPS :

  • 12:30 PM: Event Opening

  • 12:30 PM - 12:45 PM: Beginner class registration

  • 12:45 PM - 1:45 PM: Beginner skate class (1hr class. Suitable for newcomer and beginner skaters with little to no experience on a board and at a skatepark.)

  • 1:45 PM - 1:50 PM: Skate Demo

  • 1:50 PM - 2:05 PM: Mentoring Session registration for Intermediate Skaters

  • 2:05 PM - 2:50 PM: *Mentoring Session for Intermediate Skaters
    *45min class. Suitable for skaters who know the foundational skills and want to start exploring tricks and advance to the next level.

  • 2:50 PM - 3:00 PM: JAM Registration - (5 years and over)

  • 3:00 PM - 3:10 PM: Skate & Scooter JAM grouping

  • 3:10 PM - 3:30 PM: Open - Scooter (5 years and over)

  • 3:30 PM - 3:40 PM: U14s - Skate Grouping

  • 3:40 PM - 3:55 PM: U14s Jam - Skate

  • 3:55 PM - 4:05 PM: Opens - Skate Grouping

  • 4:05 PM - 4:20 PM: Opens Jam - Skate

  • 4:20 PM - 4:30 PM: Community Interaction / Close program and hand out stickers

WAIVER FORM - Participants must complete our ONLINE WAIVER FORM HERE before they can skate. Please try to have this done before you get to the skatepark.

THE WAIVER FORM IS NOT A TICKET.
Spots are limited, and bookings are essential via our Eventbrite page.

* This is an outdoor event. Postponement and cancellation is subject to weather conditions and can happen anywhere from 48 hours to 2 hours before a workshop. We cannot skate in the rain or on wet grounds.

Equipment: Professional grade Skateboard, helmet, and safety pads (optional) are provided for all classes. You are also welcome to bring your own equipment and get a free safety check by the pros!
