Come along to Ballina Skatepark and join the Totem Skateboarding team to learn about road safety with a FREE 3 hour workshop thanks to Transport for NSW.
Learn about Road Safety in a fun, safe and engaging way, and take home a FREE Aboriginal print helmet and complete Element Skateboard. Fresh fruit, water, and water bottles and tote bags are for each participant.
This program aims to increase knowledge and understanding of:
Visibility whilst riding.
Relevant road rules.
Safe places to ride.
Skateboard/Scooter maintenance.
The need to wear correctly fitted helmets.
The consequences of not wearing a helmet.
PLEASE NOTE
This Transport for NSW program is for youth aged 6 to 18 years old who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islanders.
EQUIPMENT PROVIDED: Professional-grade equipment, skateboards, scooters and safety pads are provided at this workshop. Safety pads (optional) are provided for all classes. You are also encouraged to bring your own equipment and get a free safety check by the pros!
