Come along to the Gunnedah Skatepark and join the Totem Skateboarding team to learn about Road Safety with a FREE 3-hour workshop thanks to Transport for NSW.

Learn about Road Safety in a fun, safe, and engaging way. Each participant will take home a FREE Aboriginal-print helmet and complete Element Skateboard. Fresh fruit, water, water bottles, and tote bags will also be provided.

Enjoy a FREE BBQ put on by Gunida Gunyah Aboriginal Corporation.

This program aims to increase knowledge and understanding of:

• Visibility whilst riding.

• Relevant road rules.

• Safe places to ride.

• Skateboard/Scooter maintenance.

• The need to wear correctly fitted helmets.

• The consequences of not wearing a helmet.

PLEASE NOTE

This Transport for NSW program is for youth aged 6 to 18 years old who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islanders.

EQUIPMENT PROVIDED: Professional-grade equipment, skateboards, scooters and safety pads are provided at this workshop. Safety pads (optional) are provided for all classes. You are also encouraged to bring your own equipment and get a free safety check by the pros!

* This is an outdoor event. Postponement and cancellation is subject to weather conditions and can happen anywhere from 48 hours to 2 hours before a workshop. We cannot skate in the rain or on wet grounds.*Times may vary on the day
